Uncle’s Watch

Syrian born Ziad Ammari, at 67 years old, has spent most of his life obsessed with fixing things and collecting trinkets. Changing a dead battery from a watch he never wears was the perfect excuse to engage in what has always given him a sense of purpose.

Coming from a long line of artisans, Ziad’s calling to work with his hands almost seems innate. These hands represent and showcase a life of hard work and a fixated dedication to every task he takes on, no matter how small.
